Elizabeth’s Journey: Embracing Change and Creating Space for New Possibilities

With the support of her team at SAILS, a member of Redwood Family Care Network, Elizabeth recently began working with staff to make several updates to her living space. Some of these changes involved areas of the home that had previously been difficult to adjust. Rather than rushing the process, her support team approached each step with patience, listening to Elizabeth’s preferences, respecting her pace, and working alongside her to identify solutions that felt right for her.

Together, Elizabeth and her team explored ways to reorganize parts of the home to make the space more comfortable and functional. Through open conversation and collaboration, Elizabeth agreed to move her refrigerator to a shared area of the home, creating more usable space in her room. With her input and participation, the team also worked with Elizabeth to refresh and reorganize her bedroom.

Some belongings were carefully relocated to the garage, allowing for more room around her bed and creating a cleaner, more open space. The goal of the transformation was ultimately to help Elizabeth feel comfortable and supported in making changes that improved her daily living environment.
