Many disability services in Washington are funded through state and federal programs designed to help individuals access the supports they need to live, work, and participate in their communities.
For Supported Living Services, funding levels are determined through a comprehensive assessment completed by the individual's DDA Resource Manager. The assessment identifies the level of support needed for the individual to live safely and successfully in the community.
Authorized funding is used to develop a personalized staffing and support plan. Washington requires that the majority of funding be directed toward direct support services, ensuring resources are focused on meeting individual needs and promoting quality outcomes.
Service providers receive reimbursement from the State of Washington based on approved rates and services delivered.
Employment and Community Inclusion services are typically funded through DDA and DVR programs.
Community Inclusion and Individual Employment services operate on a fee-for-service model, with providers reimbursed based on authorized service hours and documented support activities.
DVR services follow a milestone-based payment structure, with reimbursement tied to specific employment outcomes and achievements throughout the individual's employment journey.
Home Care services may be funded through Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, or private-pay arrangements, depending on the individual's circumstances and eligibility.
Service hours are documented and submitted for reimbursement through the appropriate funding source. Our team works closely with individuals, families, and funding partners to ensure services are delivered and billed accurately.
